2016 was a year of transformation for me, marked by a Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) diagnosis. After overcoming the initial surprise, I managed to get treatment a year later. Thankfully, it worked wonders, although my bank account didn't feel quite as healthy afterward. The long treatment journey led to my job waving goodbye, and I noticed friends tiptoeing away, maybe puzzled about what to say to me. It was like my world did a somersault in the blink of an eye.

I bounced from one relative's couch to another friend's futon, trying to hatch a master plan. My resume was solid, but it seemed like the job market had developed a sudden allergy to hiring a seasoned pro with a year-long sabbatical and a tango with cancer. I hit a wall until I heard about this lady who faced the same kind of job-hunt blues. She took the plunge and became her own boss. Hearing that, I thought, "Why not?" and decided to jump into the entrepreneurial pool myself.

Life's journey hasn't been a walk in the park, but my tribe never left my side. My incredible kids rose to the occasion – my son, the jack-of-all-trades tester, and my daughter, the in-house Picasso. My best friends? They've been caped crusaders, doubling as hype squad, sage advisors, and fellow testers. And let's not forget Zorro the husky, my son's furry sidekick – that pup's been a healing force in ways too many to count. Facing these challenges alone? Not a chance. The obstacles keep piling up. Battling cancer is a serious affair, but with my crew backing me, I march on.
